Most important is to stay hydrated, also it is just as important to be hydrated prior to the massage. If you are feeling tender and you had a deeper massage, apply cold to the area that is tender. If your treatment was more of a relaxation, use heat.
Gentle stretching will help with any muscle tenderness, but avoid a strenuous workout after a massage. Also rest, and a nice warm Epsom salt bath will help soothe any tenderness from your massage.
